Camping

Cocoa mix

1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup Powdered Coffee Creamer
1/2 cup Chocolate Malt Ovaltine
Instructions
# 1 Thoroughly mix all ingredients, I use a fork to combine powders. Transfer to an air tight container and use within three months.

S'mores

Graham crackers
Roasted marshmallows
Chocolate candy bar

Directions
  1. Heat the marshmallow over an open flame until it begins to brown and melt.
  2. Break the graham cracker in half. Sandwich the chocolate between the cracker and the hot marshmallow. Allow the marshmallow to cool a moment before eating.

Cookies are also a yummy treat to use instead of graham crackers

Apple Pie On A Stick

1 c sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
4 cooking apples
4 dowel or roasting sticks
In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Push the stick or dowel through the top of the apple to the bottom until the apple is secure. Roast the apple 2 to 3 inches above the bed of hot coals and turn frequently. (As the apple cooks, the skin starts to brown and the juice dribbles out.) When the skin is loose, remove the apple from the coals but leave it on the stick. Peel the skin off the apple, being careful not to burn yourself because the apple is very hot.

Brown Bears

1/2 c sugar
1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
14 Tbsp butter (melted)
 package bread dough
Mix sugar & cinnamon together until well blended. Melt butter in shallow pan, such as a round cake pan. Take the biscuits and roll in hands to form snake shaped pieces. Wrap the snake-like dough around a stick in a coil fashion. Cook over a campfire until evenly browned. Roll the cooked dough in the melted butter and then in the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Yum.

Chip-a-s'mores

Makes 1

2 chocolate chip cookies
1 marshmallow
1 square piece of a chocolate bar
Toast a marshmallow over your campfire, take your cookies and put the chocolate and marshmallow in it like a sandwich and eat up, when done, repeat!
